Senokot Senna Constipation Relief Tablets provide effective, predictable relief from occasional constipation. Formulated with natural senna, Senokot works by stimulating the muscles in the bowel, helping to move stools through the intestine and restore your natural rhythm.

Designed to work while you sleep, Senokot typically provides relief within 8–12 hours, making it convenient to take at night for relief the following morning.

How to use this product

For oral use only.

Adults, including the elderly, and children aged 12 years and over: swallow 2–4 tablets at night.

Do not exceed the stated dose. Do not give to children under 12 years of age.

If there has been no bowel movement after 3 days of treatment, or if symptoms persist or worsen, consult your doctor, pharmacist or healthcare professional.

Important Information

Senokot is intended for the short-term relief of occasional constipation. Long-term use of laxatives should be avoided.

Do not take Senokot if you have a blockage or narrowing of the bowel, inflammatory bowel disease such as Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis, severe dehydration, or unexplained abdominal symptoms. Do not take Senokot at the same time as another laxative.

Always read the patient information leaflet carefully before use and ask your pharmacist if you need further advice.

Active Ingredients

Each tablet contains senna, standardised to provide 7.5mg total sennosides, calculated as sennoside B.

Other ingredients include calcium phosphate, maize starch, magnesium stearate and lactose monohydrate.

Returns Policy

Pharmadirect.ie are happy to accept unwanted goods that are unopened and unused within 14 days from date of delivery to our offices at 34 Main Street, Killarney, Co. Kerry, V93 XW63. All unwanted returns must be returned unused, in original packaging with your order sheet / number & name clearly displayed. 

Once goods are received, funds will be returned automatically if goods meet our required criteria. This will be confirmed by a member of our customer service team to you by phone or email.

For orders from the Island of Ireland over €60 with free shipping - €5.95 will be deducted from the amount refunded in order to cover shipping costs. For orders from outside the Island of Ireland over €150.00 the relevant shipping fee will be deducted from your refund amount.

In the unlikely event that your goods are faulty or have been damaged in transit, Pharmadirect.ie will provide a replacement. Please contact us. within 48 hours of delivery to report any issues.

Please note that items that are used and opened will not be replaced and no refund will be issued.
