For oral use only.
Adults, including the elderly, and children aged 12 years and over: Swallow 2–4 tablets at night.
Do not give to children under 12 years of age.
Do not exceed the stated dose. Normally, it is sufficient to take this medicine up to two or three times a week. Use for more than one week requires medical supervision.
If there is no bowel movement within 3 days, or symptoms persist or worsen, speak to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.
Important Information
Senokot is intended for the short-term relief of occasional constipation. Long-term use of laxatives should be avoided.
Do not take Senokot if you are under 12 years of age, have severe dehydration, a blockage or narrowing of the gastrointestinal tract or bowel, inflammatory bowel disease such as Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis, or certain unexplained abdominal symptoms.
Do not use this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Senokot contains lactose. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.
