Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over and weighing 35kg or more: Take 1 tablet up to 3 times daily.
Maximum daily dose: 3 tablets (30mg).
Motilium Fastmelts should preferably be taken before meals. Place the tablet on the tongue and allow it to dissolve in the mouth before swallowing. Water is not required, although a glass of water may be taken afterwards if desired.
Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time necessary. Treatment should normally not exceed 7 days.
Important Information
Do not use in children under 12 years or adolescents weighing less than 35kg.
People aged over 60 years should consult a healthcare professional before taking Motilium.
Do not take Motilium if you have certain heart conditions, including a prolonged QT interval or heart failure, or if you have moderate or severe liver disease. Domperidone can interact with certain medicines and is associated with an increased risk of heart rhythm disorders in some people.
Motilium Fastmelts contain aspartame (E951). If you have phenylketonuria (PKU), check the patient information leaflet and speak to your pharmacist or doctor before use.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking other medicines or have an existing medical condition, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
