Avène Intense Protect SPF50+ is an ultra-broad-spectrum, very high-protection sunscreen for the face and body, specially developed for highly sensitive and vulnerable skin. Suitable for the whole family, including babies from 6 months, children, adults and pregnant women, it provides reliable protection even during intense sun exposure and demanding outdoor conditions.

At the heart of the formula is Avène's innovative TriAsorB™ sun-filter technology, providing protection beyond conventional UVA and UVB rays to include high-energy visible (HEV) blue light. This ultra-broad-spectrum protection helps defend the skin against sun-induced damage and accelerated photoageing.

Designed with very high skin and eye tolerance, Intense Protect SPF50+ is particularly suitable for dry and sensitive skin, as well as scars, tattoos and skin following cosmetic or dermatological procedures once the skin has fully re-epithelialised.

Its hybrid texture combines the benefits of a cream with the lightweight feel of a fluid. The formula absorbs rapidly, with Avène reporting absorption in just 3 seconds, and provides up to 8 hours of hydration to help prevent dryness and maintain skin comfort.

The transparent formula leaves an invisible finish without white marks and is ultra-resistant to water and sweat, making it particularly suitable for outdoor activities, water sports and intense sun conditions such as tropical climates and high altitudes.

How to use this product

Apply generously and evenly to the face and body before sun exposure.

1. Apply a generous amount to all exposed areas of skin before going into the sun.
2. Spread evenly to ensure adequate coverage.
3. Reapply frequently to maintain protection, particularly after swimming, sweating or towel drying.
4. Reapply during prolonged periods of sun exposure, even when the product remains comfortable on the skin.
5. Combine sunscreen with protective clothing, sunglasses and a suitable hat during strong sun exposure.

Using less than the recommended quantity will significantly reduce the level of sun protection.

Tinosorb S (Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine): A photostable broad-spectrum filter providing UVA and UVB protection.

Uvinul A Plus (Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate): A photostable filter providing targeted UVA protection.

Uvinul T150 (Ethylhexyl Triazone): A highly effective UVB filter.

Avène Thermal Spring Water: Naturally soothing and softening, helping provide comfort to sensitive skin.

Glycerin: Helps attract and retain moisture to support long-lasting skin hydration.

Returns Policy

Pharmadirect.ie are happy to accept unwanted goods that are unopened and unused within 14 days from date of delivery to our offices at 34 Main Street, Killarney, Co. Kerry, V93 XW63. All unwanted returns must be returned unused, in original packaging with your order sheet / number & name clearly displayed. 

Once goods are received, funds will be returned automatically if goods meet our required criteria. This will be confirmed by a member of our customer service team to you by phone or email.

For orders from the Island of Ireland over €60 with free shipping - €5.95 will be deducted from the amount refunded in order to cover shipping costs. For orders from outside the Island of Ireland over €150.00 the relevant shipping fee will be deducted from your refund amount.

In the unlikely event that your goods are faulty or have been damaged in transit, Pharmadirect.ie will provide a replacement. Please contact us. within 48 hours of delivery to report any issues.

Please note that items that are used and opened will not be replaced and no refund will be issued.
