Acnecide Face Wash 5% w/w Gel is a medicated wash-off treatment for acne on the face, chest and back, helping to target spots, blocked pores, blackheads and whiteheads.

Containing 5% benzoyl peroxide, Acnecide works by attacking the bacteria associated with acne while helping remove excess oil and unblock pores. Its wash-off format makes it particularly convenient for treating larger acne-prone areas such as the chest and back, as well as the face.

The formulation also contains glycerol and uses microsphere technology to help absorb excess oil while releasing glycerol to help hydrate the skin. Acnecide Face Wash can be incorporated into a daily acne-care routine, with use gradually increased according to skin tolerance.

How to use this product

Unless otherwise directed by your doctor or pharmacist:

1. Wet the affected area of skin.
2. Apply a small amount of Acnecide Wash to your hands.
3. Gently wash the affected area with the gel.
4. Leave in contact with the skin for 1–5 minutes.
5. Rinse thoroughly with water.
6. Gently dry the skin.
7. Wash your hands thoroughly after use.

Acnecide Wash may be applied once or twice daily.

When first starting treatment, it is sensible to introduce benzoyl peroxide gradually according to the enclosed instructions, particularly if you have sensitive skin.

All unwanted returns must be returned unused, in original packaging with your order sheet / number & name clearly displayed. 

Once goods are received, funds will be returned automatically if goods meet our required criteria. This will be confirmed by a member of our customer service team to you by phone or email.

For orders from the Island of Ireland over €60 with free shipping - €5.95 will be deducted from the amount refunded in order to cover shipping costs. For orders from outside the Island of Ireland over €150.00 the relevant shipping fee will be deducted from your refund amount.

In the unlikely event that your goods are faulty or have been damaged in transit, Pharmadirect.ie will provide a replacement. Please contact us. within 48 hours of delivery to report any issues.

Please note that items that are used and opened will not be replaced and no refund will be issued.
